Why I started Toms Table
I first started cooking as a boy by helping my father in the kitchen. I’ve always been a keen eater, so becoming a keen cook was a logical next step.
As I got older, cooking shifted from something I enjoyed doing to becoming my principal passion. I enjoy the food I cook, and I enjoy cooking for others and sharing what I make. Following some encouragement from my wonderful wife to be, I’ve decided to share my favourite recipes with the world!

Delicious, accessible and exciting food
Coming up with ideas for what to make, from easy midweek dinners to dinner party spreads, can sometimes be a little overwhelming. What sides might be good with those pork chops I saw at the butchers? How can I recreate one of my favourite dishes from that local restaurant? What can I make that’s cheap and can be thrown together in 30 minutes?
I want to bring recipes to my page that encourage people to try a variety of different dishes from all around the world in an easy and approachable way. You will find to recipes here requiring a thermomix or any other speciality ingredients. I aim to ensure that all recipes make use of ingredients that are readily available in supermarkets, speciality supermarkets and online.
It is my hope that my website will be able to cater both to experienced cooks looking for some interesting new ideas, inspired home cooks seeking recipes for restaurant/takeaway favourites and to new cooks just beginning on their journey in the kitchen.
I am always happy to take suggestions and to be inspired and encouraged by those around me. If you have a dish in mind that you would like to see a recipe for, or even a suggested improvement to one already published, do not hesitate to get in contact! You can contact me on contact@tomstable.com
